Phage Inc Presents Phage Camp 2025
- Phage Inc is our very own bringing science to people through art charity. This charity has been used for some our more recent large art projects like the Cubes. This year to help raise some funds for future art projects all proceeds will go to Phage Inc.
- Is this tax deductible? Mostly no. The IRS only allows the portion of the event fee that does not go to food, generators, water, and the like to be considered tax free. If this is important to you please contact Evan (g.funk.one@gmail.com) after Burning Man for a break down of the costs.
- Should misfortunes fall upon you and you are not able to join us at Burning Man refunds in full will be issued in September(ish). We aren’t trying to rob you we just prefer *vintage* calculators.
- If it is within your means, consider upgrading your sponsorship. Your tax dollars go directly to producing awesomeness for The Phage and the wider community.
- Portapotties: This year the cost of camp portas is rolled into the camp tax. Historically, very few people have opted out.
- Appliance fee: This year there is an optional $350 appliance fee that can be added if you would like to bring an AC, fridge, or freezer. (Note that swamp coolers are exempt from the fee.)
- Camp Taxes: This year we are testing a sliding scale of ticket prices. We know there is a wide range of financial ability, so please contribute based on what works for you. Our budget assumes most people will choose the midpoint “Sustainable”/ level at $650, and that enough people will choose the “Gratitude” level at $875 that it will support those who choose the “Minimum” level at $375.
