SPEAKEREASY COLLECTIVE FUNDRAISER

Fundraiser Form Click Here (April 2024)

The Speakereasy Collective has as its mission to build community around music and dance,  empowering friends old and new to throw parties and curate transformative experiences.

We are burners. Our roots are in the West coast bass music scene with connections to The Phage, False Profit, The Institute Village, Priceless Festival, Langton Labs and related tribes.

Our process is trust based: anyone in the Speakereasy community is welcome to borrow the system for a non-commercial event, at zero cost! That’s right, not even a maintenance fee.

Since its inception in 2023, the Speakereasy Collective has brought sound to a number of events, including campouts (Blazing Monkey), burns (Firefly), Boston area parties (Farwell, The Wallows, The Perch, Somerville Porchfest), ecstatic dances (Ecstatic Dance MA), retreats (IcePhage East, Vermont Llama crew, Little East Coast Campout), etc. The 2024 season is already looking hot!

We are raising funds to step up this community resource. While we’re at it, might as well throw a party to shake booties and celebrate the joy of being alive, together, in movement.

HISTORICAL POST SCRIPTUM: THE SOUNDSMITHS COLLECTIVE

We adapt our model from the San Francisco based Soundsmiths collective, of which both founders of the Speakereasy collective are also active members. The Soundsmiths collective has been running a community soundsystem out West since 2004. Here are some glamour shots from some mischief over the years:
